On April 23, 2025, the Guidance Services Office held the Institutional Tripartite Forum at the AGM Hall, SUNN Main Campus. Attended by students, faculty, and staff, the forum served as a platform for inclusive and meaningful dialogue on critical institutional matters. The event emphasized collaboration and shared responsibility in addressing academic and administrative concerns, reinforcing the university’s commitment to participatory governance.
COA Exit Conference Promotes Transparency and Process Improvement




In line with its dedication to accountability, SUNN conducted the Commission on Audit (COA) Exit Conference on April 24, 2025, at the Board Room of the SUNN Hotel. COA auditors presented their audit findings, observations, and recommendations based on a comprehensive review of the university’s financial and operational records. The session allowed both COA and SUNN officials to discuss insights and clarify processes, paving the way for improved internal controls and compliance moving forward.
Understanding the JC 3 Guidelines on the Reclassification of Faculty Positions in State Universities and Colleges




To guide permanent faculty members in understanding recent changes in faculty position classifications, SUNN hosted a two-day work-conference titled “Understanding the JC 3 Guidelines on the Reclassification of Faculty Positions in State Universities and Colleges,” on April 24–25, 2025. The event featured Dr. Gilbert C. Magulod Jr., Professor VI and University Director for Knowledge and Technology and Publication at Cagayan State University, as the resource speaker.
The program opened with welcome messages from university leaders including Dr. Judith S. Rabacal, VP for Research, Extension, and Internationalization and OIC-VPAA, and Dr. Kristine T. Soberano, Director of Research and Development. Dr. Magulod provided an in-depth discussion of the JC 3 guidelines, including eligibility criteria, procedural steps, and timelines for faculty reclassification.
Key Result Areas (KRAs) such as Instruction, Research and Creative Work, Extension, and Professional Development were thoroughly explored through lectures and open forums across the two days. The event concluded with a summary of insights and actionable steps to implement the guidelines, reinforcing SUNN’s commitment to continuous professional growth and academic excellence.
