
The State University of Northern Negros proudly enters the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, showcasing its growing role in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SUNN’s commitment stands out in promoting peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16); gender equality (SDG 5); no poverty (SDG 1); and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17). This global recognition affirms SUNN’s dedication to education that creates positive change in communities and supports a more just and inclusive future.
This coincides with another milestone for the State University of Northern Negros as we celebrate the passage of Republic Act No. 11859, An Act Converting the Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology in Sagay City, Province of Negros Occidental, into a State University to be Known as the “State University of Northern Negros”. This landmark legislation marks the birth of our universityhood, a turning point that honors our past as NONESCOST and begins a new chapter for academic progress. As we celebrate our Charter Day, we carry forward the responsibility to fulfill the vision of a university that serves the people of Northern Negros and contributes to national development.
