In 2000, the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) was opened after it was approved by the Board of Trustees through BOT Resolution No. 41, series of 1999 on September 3, 1999. The program was created in accordance with the pertinent provision of the Higher Education Act of 1994 and by virtue of Resolution 38-2008 Commission En Banc, rationalizing the undergraduate agriculture education in the Philippines with the end-view of keeping abreast with the demands of the industry and boosting the country’s global competitiveness.

Aligned with the Vision-Mission of the NONESCOST, the BSA program is committed to educate students in the scientific habit of thought and entrepreneurial skills and prepare them to become professionals with entry-level competences in technical agriculture. The program’s relocation at Escalante City has provided it opportunities for strengthening agriculture education through land grants that enable it to build laboratory farms, providing students hands-on experience in animal husbandry and plant cultivation. It currently offers three major fields: Animal Science, Crop Science, and Organic Agriculture (BOT Res. No.07 , Series of 2014 ) and Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness.

The program continues to expand and grow, welcoming new faculty members to the family, and catering to more students from all walks of life. It has produced a number of successful graduates. Many of whom found fulfillment in other profession, while many still pursue the noble field of agriculture.
